With a degree in secondary education and expertise as a Jewish Educator, Anne has perfected the art of B’Mitzvah prep. Regardless of your child’s Jewish background or learning style, she will make the experience enriching and FUN! She is available for virtual or in person sessions, as well as small group lessons.

Using the “Learn to Read Hebrew with Anne” curriculum, students learn how to decode Hebrew in 2-3 months. Beyond learning how to read and sing essential prayers, students learn what they mean and how they fit into the service.

Students learn how to chant Torah and/or Haftorah using Binder trop. Anne teaches best practices and tricks to mastering Torah, and gradually moves them towards chanting from the actual scroll. Her low stress, approachable method insures success for everyone!

Anne has taught Jewish Studies to kids of all ages. From holidays to history, her customized curriculum dives deeper into each topic, keeping students engaged and feeling more connected to their Jewish identity.

D’var Torah means a piece of Torah. Often referred to as “the speech”, the d’var Torah is an opportunity for each student to glean meaning from their Torah portion and share their thoughts with the community. Anne will work with your child to connect the Torah text with their own life. Depending on the needs of the student, Anne will work in tandem to write it with them, or let them work independently and serve as editor.
